Okay, so this might be because I’m secretly always going to be a moody teenager looking for people to relate to, but I defy anyone to argue with the genius of My So-Called Life. Once you’ve gotten over the shock of the terrifyingly nineties name, the series deals with your run-of-the-mill teen angst nonsense with real wit and intelligence, presenting characters who are as torn up about real things as their viewers might have been. A tragic loss at only two series in, the show has gained a cult following in it’s absence- and, I should hope, holds the top spot on the guilty-secret lists of teenagers who watched it during it’s original run.
