For everyone who thought that the gang from Friends never really went on to do anything after the sitcom finished, think again. Matthew Perry (of Chandler fame) pulled it out of the hat for this perceptive look into the inner workings of the entertainment world, sprung straight from the mind of TV royalty Aaron Sorkin (he of The Newsroom and The West Wing, both TV classics in their own right). Following the behind-the-scenes work for a sketch show comedy in the vein of SNL, and featuring dialogue so sharp you could cut cheese with it, it was a snappy, scrappy, intelligent, and far too easy-to-love show. It lost out to 30 Rock in the inevitable meta ratings war.
