11 Awesome Movies You Haven’t Seen Yet

I know, I know- everyone has their reasons for avoiding films that everyone thinks they should see. And whatever these reasons-lack of interest in the genre, director, or actors involved-always seems legitimate to you. But how do you work out which of these “must-see” movies is really for you? We’ve compiled a handy cut-out-and-keep list so you can tell when you should take note and rent the DVD, and when you should ignore everyone and watch Star Wars again instead. You won’t believe that you’ve never seen number 9 before!

1. Bad Taste

Okay, so the title might not sound that inviting, but what about when I tell you that this is veteran director Peter Jackson’s first feature film? It’s not for those of a somewhat nervous disposition (obviously), but for the sturdier amongst us it’s a true riot- a wild, violent, imaginative and low-budget shocker that’s as hilarious as it is bloody. At the very least, it marks the appearance of one of the finest directors of our time on the scene-and with style.

    I am perplexed that while some of these are horror movies that are certainly very good, and a couple of them Australian, that there is no mention of “The Snowtown Murders”. Both disturbing and compelling, the movie is based on true events and leaves the viewer far more disturbed than the excellent “Wolf Creek”.

    One of my favorite movies of all time is “Big Man on Campus.” If you happened to catch it on TV as a kid chances are you can still quote the whole movie. Got a 6 out of 10 on IMdb, despite being virtually unknown.
