Particularly notable for being the very first time that Danny Elfman scored a movie (and what a score it was, too), Pee- Wee’s Big Adventure is curiously forgotten entry in Tim Burton’s oeuvre. Starring Paul Rueben as Pee-Wee and co-written by comedy legend Phil Hartman, the film is as eccentric and visually striking as Burton’s other work-but some dislike it because of the childish nature of the movie’s protagonist. To many, it’s a delightful tread down a lane to a more innocent (and often more fun) time in cinema.
So those are the movies we think you might have missed in your quest to have seen all the greats. But have we left anything out? Are there any movies that you think deserve a spot on this list- or are there any that don’t? Tell us in the comments below.
