4. The Matrix Revolutions

I’m not a fan of the original Matrix movie to begin with, but I’ve found myself over the years being dragged back to the series, culminating with a horrible evening where I was mae to watch this. Widely considered a huge misstep for the series, the Wachowskis decided to bin all that silly fight scene nonsense and replace it with oodles of philosophical meandering and many, many shots of Hugo Weaving delivering lines with far too many “s” in them. Not exciting, not interesting, not moving, just dull.

    OK, wait a minute. You put in “Plan 9 From Outer Space” and leave out “Robot Monster”??? No “Star Crash”? “Galaxy of Terror”? “Gymkata”? And who can forget “The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!?” (no matter how much we want to)? “Glen or Glenda”? “Reptilicus”? ” Not to mention about half of the Troma library.

    I think ” The Sound of Music” with Julie Andrews should be on this list because it really sucked.

    This list is slightly misleading and a bit confused – The title says “Top 10 Films You Love to Hate,” but then a lot on the list are dismissed as “dull.” Plan 9, The Room, Troll 2 seem appropriate for this list as they all exude their own charm and perfect shit storm of failure…Norbit, The Happening, and Matrix Revolutions do not…They’re just bad, boring movies.

    I enjoy a really bad film – like Battlefield Earth. It’s amazing how much fun it can be to watch these train wrecks.
