For anyone who doesn’t think that black-and-white films can be scary, think the hell again. This is one of those movies that everyone claims you should have seen-and with good reason. A sensational performance from Anthony Perkins defined the role of quiet psychopath Norman Bates, while Hitchcock does some of his finest cinematography and storyboarding in these ninety minutes. A shocking film that no one has come close to since.
